When you get an inquiry from someone that’s from the town next to your hometown, it’s a fun sign! It’s even more fun when you’re both home at the time and can meet up to chat about the project!
We were so excited to work with Kelly from Kelly McVeigh Events to help develop a new logo for her business as she transitioned into a new business stage!
After meeting up with Kelly, we had a really clear idea on what she was looking for. Here’s a look at some of the key elements she wanted for her branding:
Deep purple/moody colors
Romantic script font to go with her wedding and event planning services
Kelly provided us with a really detailed look at her ideal client which was extremely helpful in understanding the overall vibe she wanted and what would resonate with her clientele. With that, we started the process with an inspiration board to highlight the overall vibe and capture her ideal client's interests. Here's what we came up with:
Once we had Kelly's feedback and approval on the inspiration board, we were ready to get started on her 3 initial logo concepts. We knew Kelly liked the Argentinian Nights font the best so we started there. Here's a look at what we came up with:
After seeing our initial concepts, Kelly loved concept 1 but wanted to soften the logo up a bit. The diamond was a little too harsh for her but shared that she loves hearts, pineapples and squiggly lines (yes, that's official designer talk right there 😉). So we used the same text layout and worked on making some adjustments to include a few new options. Here's a look at the first set of revisions:
So which one did Kelly love?! The top option on concept 2 - a combination of squiggly lines and a heart! She had one last edit to remove the line in the heart and we were good to go! Here's a look at the final logo design along with branding elements she can use to reflect her new logo as well:
We absolutely love her choice for something a little moody but still romantic and soft to reflect her services. Now that we had that finalized, it was time to design her collateral options and here's a look at the final collateral designs:
These designs were a little different than we're typically used to but we LOVE this moody vibe and how everything turned out!
